Can SterlingFAX™ work with any email?
Yes, in fact using email gives you ultimate flexibility for sending faxes from your PC, Mac and PDA/Mobile devices. You write an e-mail message and optionally attach a PDF document to the message. You address the email using the following format: faxnumber@sterlingfax.net, where faxnumber is the recipient’s fax number.

Is there a way to store or archive my fax messages?
Since incoming faxes are PDF documents you can easily set up electronic archiving of fax files at your own site that meet your firm’s records retention policies. This could be in the form of folders on your network drive or within your e-mail software.

Does SterlingFAX™ integrate with Outlook and Exchange?
SterlingFAX™ works with most email client software including web based email solutions, as well as Outlook and Exchange.

Can I fax directly from Microsoft Office applications?
From within a Windows application, SterlingFAX™ works with any application that uses standard Microsoft® Windows® printer drivers. You open a file in the application, and then in the printer dialog box, you select the SterlingFAX™ printer and enter the destination fax number using the Microsoft® Fax Wizard. SterlingFAX™ sends your message to our fax server, which then transmits the fax via regular phone lines to the recipient’s fax machine.  A digital confirmation is automatically sent to your e-mail inbox.

Does SterlingFAX™ support Apple’s Mac platform?
Yes, Mac users can fax with email and addressing the fax to the destination fax number through SterlingFax.net  Faxing directly from Mac applications is not currently supported. This is not a significant limitation however as all the user needs to do is create a PDF file which can then be sent via email to the fax server in the normal way.

How can I send and receive faxes when traveling internationally?
You can send a fax through email anywhere you have access to your email. This can include an email program on your laptop, or from a web based email solution.

Can I schedule a date and time for sending a fax?
You can schedule fax sending if you use the print to fax option. The wizard allows you to set date and time to send.
